Originally from Flint, Michigan, Jarel Waters began dancing at age three with Creative Expressions Dance Studio; and was one of the original Flintstone Hoofers. He received his BFA in Dance performance from The University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and worked with Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Ronald K. Brown/Evidence: A Dance Company, Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company, Forces of Nature Dance Theater, and Innervision Dance Theater. He currently lives in Flint, Mi. and is a faculty member of The Flint School of Performing Arts and Tapology’s Outreach program, reaching underserved youth in the community.
